The Princess Royal Visits Shrewsbury

We were thrilled recently to be asked to make 300 cakes for a visit from HRH Princess Anne when she came to Shrewsbury, Shropshire last week.

Not all of the cakes were for her own personal consumption obviously, but we had a very busy yet enjoyable time preparing carrot cakes, cream teas, chocolate brownies, caramel meringues and strawberry shortcakes.

Having spent all week chanting "Ma'am as in jam", we unfortunately didn't get to meet her - we just caught a glimpse of her arriving but we hear that the visit - and the cakes - were a great success!

Vegetarian Food

This week, we are going to be spending some time researching and adding more vegetarian recipes to our menus.. If you have a favourite dish you think we should try out, please do get in touch at enquiries@aramayos.co.uk

Did you know........?

Here at Aramayo's, we take our environmental responsibilities very seriously.  One of these is food waste.  Our portions are known to be generous and we work very hard to ensure that this works in favour of the customer rather than resulting in waste.

On occasions, there is excess food so instead of it going to waste, we donate it to Shrewsbury Ark, a project for the homeless and vunerable residents of the area.

These donations can either be as whole food items or dishes, or we make large containers of soup for the Ark to serve to those attending the project.

Find out more about the Shrewsbury Ark project by clicking here.
